Ungdomsoprøret var ikke blot en generationskamp – den var udtryk for en kulturkrise og for en ny social mentalitet, en ny måde at tænke og handle på, dvs. en ny samfundsfilosofi. Den teologiske debat i Danmark var i midten af 1970’erne præget af diskussionen omkring professor Ole Jensens 1976-disputats, som af nogle opponenter berømmedes højt, mens andre, bl.a. dr. theol. Peter Kemp, kritiserede den skarpt.I "Teologi og videnskab" fremlægger Peter Kemp sine synspunkter. Bogen bringer i udvidet form selve oppositionsindlægget og diskuterer desuden Wilhelm Herrmanns teologi, som den fremlægges i "Religionen", der også er hovedtemaet for Ole Jensens afhandling. Sjálfsævisaga rithöfundarins og leikarans Frank Harris (1855 - 1931) kom út í íslenskri þýðingu Baldurs Hólmgeirssonar árið 1958. Harris rekur ævi sína og örlög, allt frá barnæsku til kvennafars á fullorðinsárum. Ævisaga hans hefst á fleygu orðunum: „Minnið er móðir listagyðjanna og sönn fyrirmynd listamannsins." Eftir þeirri speki er sjálfsævisaga Harris rituð.Hann segir frá kynnum sínum af konum í miklum smáatriðum og teiknaði myndir til sem voru innblásnar af ævintýrum hans. Frásögnin og teikningarnar sem þeim fylgdu vakti mikinn usla á sínum tíma og var bókin bönnuð í áratugi í Bandaríkjunum og Bretlandi. Þrátt fyrir það varð Ævi mín og ástir metsölubók, hún þykir enn vera merkilegt erótískt verk og seldist dýrum dómum í Frakklandi þar sem hún var ekki bönnuð. „Ævi mín og ástir" kynnir lesanda einnig vel fyrir samtíma höfundarins, við sögu koma fjölmargar þekktar persónur sem Harris kynntist á sinni ævi. Þar má nefna: Oscar Wild, Heinrich Heine, George Meredith og fleiri samtímamenn Harris.Frank Harris (1855 - 1931) fæddist 14. Febrúar 1855 í Galway á Írlandi. Hann kom víða við á viðburðaríkri ævi sinni. Hann flutti til Bandaríkjanna á fullorðinsárum til að læra lögfræði en síðar lagði hann leið sína aftur til Evrópu og settist að í London. Honum var margt til lista lagt. Frank Harris var þekktur rithöfundur, ritstjóri og blaðamaður. Hann hóf feril sinn sem ritstjóri ýmissa dagblaða og tímarita, þar á meðal Fortnightly Review og Saturday Review.Frank Harris skrifaði nokkrar skáldsögur og einnig ritaði hann ævisögu Oscar Wilde, sem þótti tímamótaverk. Harris er þó þekktastur fyrir sjálfsævisöguleg verk sín, þar á meðal „Ævi mín og ástir". Ritstíll hans var umdeildur á sínum tíma og hann uppskar misjafnar móttökur á verkum sínum. Harris var margslungin persóna og ef af orðspori hans má dæma var hann heillandi og erfiður í senn. Þrátt fyrir þetta var hann mjög virtur í bókmenntaheiminum þar til hann lést 26. ágúst 1931.Verk hans höfða til þeirra sem hafa áhuga á bókmenntasögunni og litríkum reynslusögum.

I "Historieproblemet hos Kierkegaard og den unge Marx", der oprindeligt er fra 1974, analyserer Hans Erik Avlund Frandsen de to samtidige filosoffers fælles problem: Hvordan kan man fastholde ideen om mennesket som et frit handlende væsen, når den historiske udvikling tilsyneladende sætter sig igennem bag om ryggen på de konkrete "frie" enkeltindivider?Det problem førte dem begge ud i filosofiske modsigelser, som Kierkegaard aldrig fik løst, og Marx først senere fandt et svar på: Den historiske udvikling har ikke sit eget liv, men det har den særlige kapitalistiske produktionsmåde. Enhver virksomhed og dermed hele samfundet er tvunget til en bestandig stræben efter maksimal økonomisk vækst. Nulvækst er ikke en mulighed.Med klimakrisen er spørgsmålet om frihed og vækst blevet stærkt accentueret.
